Cheers to 20 years for Trinidad and Tobago
Twenty years of production from the Angostura Field has been enthusiastically celebrated by the entire Woodside Trinidad and Tobago team.

The actual milestone fell on 13 January and the occasion was commemorated with a series of town halls, hosted by Country Manager Kellyanne Lochan, across all Woodside sites in the region.
These events presented the opportunity to acknowledge and applaud the commitment, collaboration and innovation that has driven our success in T&T over the past two decades.
“This anniversary is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our incredible teams over the years – a team that continues to focus on safely and reliably delivering energy to Trinidad and Tobago,” Kellyanne said.
Angostura is an offshore conventional oil and gas field located 38km north-east of Trinidad. The field was discovered in 1999 and the journey to production began in 2003 with the commencement of construction. Woodside operates the Angostura project and owns it in conjunction with the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago and Chaoyang Petroleum (Trinidad). First oil was produced in 2005, followed by first gas production in 2011. Deepwater drilling between 2016 and 2021 led to discoveries in the Calypso Field. Greater Angostura includes both the Angostura and Ruby conventional oil and gas fields. First oil at Ruby was achieved in May 2021, further solidifying our presence and impact in the region.
Angostura is an important contributor to T&T’s economy and Woodside’s share of production in 2023 was 11.2 Million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe).
Robin Pogson-Daniel is one member of our team keen to express her pride in the Angostura achievements. “I’m honored to be part of this incredible milestone,” said Robin, Team Lead Procurement. “Reaching 20 years is not just about hard work and dedication but also about the deep connections we’ve built.”
Robin described the business partnerships that have been formed as blossoming into friendships that feel like family. “These bonds have been the foundation of our success, creating a community of trust, support, and shared vision,” she noted.
Ricky Rajack, Manager Operations Services, reflected on the broader impact of our journey. “As we celebrate 20 years of production from the Angostura Field, it’s a momentous occasion for reflection and anticipation,” Ricky remarked. “This milestone allows us to look back with pride and gratitude, and forward with optimism for what might come.”
Like Robin, Ricky pointed to the strong relationships formed over the past 20 years with host communities, local businesses and educational institutions – as being central to our success. “These partnerships have fostered mutual respect and shared prosperity,” he said.
Congrats to all our teams and individuals who have contributed to this fantastic milestone!
