Case Study: Supporting Essential Services - Bayou Community Foundation

Woodside supports the Bayou Community Foundation’s Grants Program in its efforts to address critical humanitarian needs in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle parishes in southern Louisiana, USA. The investment by Woodside enables local non-profit organisations to deliver essential services to the most vulnerable residents in these communities and provides necessary funding to food banks and distribution of basic essential supplies through programs catering for children, the elderly and families.

“We are immensely grateful to Woodside Energy for recognising the power of philanthropy and partnering with Bayou Community Foundation to grow good in our unique and precious coastal communities of Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle, Louisiana,” said Executive Director Jennifer Armand. “Together, we are creating a vibrant and diverse coastal community where all can thrive.”

When Hurricane Francine hit the Louisiana coast in 2024, resulting in widespread power outages and limited access to essential resources for local residents, Woodside provided additional funding support to the Bayou Community Foundation’s Recovery Fund.

Set up in response to the crisis, the Fund was aimed at supporting non-profit organisations to deliver relief and recovery assistance to individuals affected by the disaster in Lafourche, Terrebonne, and Grand Isle.
