Case Study: Enhancing Literacy - ARROW Foundation

Woodside collaborates with the ARROW Foundation and the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Education to run a successful literacy program benefiting over 350 students from 13 primary schools in north-east Trinidad.

The primary goal of this partnership is to enhance the reading and writing skills of these students, equipping them with increased confidence and focus. Christopher Bonterre, Managing Director of the ARROW Foundation, highlighted the progress achieved through the partnership with Woodside and the Ministry of Education. “This partnership has allowed us to make significant impacts on educational development across the community. We give each student individual attention and help instil the confidence needed to achieve their full potential.”

Now in its fourth year, the program has positively impacted these students, with several showcasing growth equivalent to nearly three years in reading and spelling abilities over the year-long program. In 2025, the program intends to expand by holding a Literacy Day event.
