Case Study: Scholarships for the Leaders of Tomorrow - Tec Monterrey

Since 2023, Woodside has embarked on a meaningful collaboration with Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), one of Mexico's most prestigious educational institutions through its ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’ program.

This initiative identifies women from Tamaulipas who exhibit strong leadership qualities, demonstrate academic excellence, and have a keen interest in pursuing engineering or science degrees, but face financial barriers to access education.

“Thanks to the ‘Woodside Supporting Leaders of Tomorrow’ scholarship I can study at Tecnológico de Monterrey and fulfill my dreams of studying Computer Engineering. It is an honour for me to have the distinction of Woodside Energy. This scholarship has been a great support to my family because they no longer have to be worried about paying for my tuition. Many thanks to Woodside for placing trust in students like us who try so hard to do our best,” said Ana, Computer Engineering student.

Through this partnership, Woodside provides funding towards tuition, accommodation and living expenses, empowering students to pursue further study at ITESM. Over the past two years, six women have been granted the ‘Woodside Supporting Leaders of Tomorrow’ scholarship.

In 2023, three scholarship recipients commenced their Mechatronics Engineering degrees and in 2024 the program welcomed an additional three students, embarking on studies in Innovation and Transformation, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, and Public Accounting and Finance.
