Case Study: Bayou Community Foundation
Case Study - Bayou Community Foundation
Bayou Community Foundation is a charitable foundation solely focused on strengthening the communities of Lafourche Parish, Terrebonne Parish, and Grand Isle, in Louisiana. Woodside supports the Annual Grants Program and the Capacity-Building and Special Projects program that help create a robust and diverse costal community.
In 2023, the Bayou Community Foundation’s Annual Grants Program awarded US$316,500 in grants to 32 local non-profits serving the local communities. These grants filled critical needs in areas such as human services, housing, education and workforce development, and helped to build resilience of the social and economic fabric of the entire community.
Additionally, Woodside supported the Capacity-Building and Special Projects program, which provides administrative support to build organisational capacity, strengthen the Foundation’s program delivery, and increase the Foundation’s effectiveness in meeting the needs of non-profits and the community.
“We are immensely grateful to Woodside Energy for recognising the power of philanthropy and partnering with Bayou Community Foundation to grow good in our unique and precious coastal communities of Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle, Louisiana,” said Executive Director Jennifer Armand.
