Surf Life Saving Western Australia (SLSWA) and Woodside Energy have renewed their long-standing partnership which supports coastal safety programs across the state.
The partnership between SLSWA and Woodside commenced in 2012 and has since grown to encompass multiple initiatives aimed at improving the safety and well-being of beachgoers in Western Australia.
Under the renewed partnership, Woodside will continue its support of the Lifesaver Safety Program and the Woodside Nippers Program, as well as extend its support to the Woodside Jet Ski Program, which will focus on providing essential training and development opportunities for SLSWA Jet Ski operators. It will also contribute to the ongoing maintenance and replacement of rescue equipment, helping to maintain the readiness and effectiveness of rescue operations along WA's coastline.
SLSWA President Heidi Gan expressed her appreciation for Woodside's ongoing commitment to supporting surf life saving initiatives.
"Woodside has been a valued partner of SLSWA for many years, and we are thrilled to continue this partnership, which will enable us to further enhance our coastal safety programs and continue to provide essential resources for our volunteers and members," she said.
Woodside Executive Vice President Australian Operations Liz Westcott said: “SLSWA is a community-based organisation which plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Western Australians. Woodside is proud to renew our longstanding partnership with SLSWA and continue our support for their programs which keep our beaches safe and educate the next generation of WA lifesavers.”
