2. Complete the pathways quiz to find your unique pathway

To complete an application, you'll need to take our pathways quiz which will direct you to the pathway you are eligible to apply for. 

3. Online application

At the end of the quiz you'll be provided a link to apply for the role best suited for you. 

4. Online abilities test

Once you complete your application, you may be invited to progress to the next stage which is an online aptitude and abilities test. A link to the test will be emailed to you prior to the application closing date.

5. Interview

If you are successful moving to this stage, you will be invited to interview with us.  

6. Due diligence

Our due diligence stage may include, but is not limited to, a national criminal record check, sanctions check, academic record/qualification check and reference checking. 

7. Offer

If you have been successful in steps one to six, and we would like to offer you a position on our program, a member of our Talent Acquisition Team will contact you to extend a formal offer.

Summer Vacation Program

We are looking for students who have a passion for learning and can demonstrate academic ability to see first-hand what it is like to work for a global energy company, founded in Australia with a spirit of innovation and determination

Gain insight into working within an innovative and dynamic multi-disciplined organisation.

Our 12-week program provides you with: 

  • The chance to be assessed for a position on our Graduate Development Program
  • Insight into our culture and exposure to our top professionals
  • Valuable and extensive on the job work experience
  • Practical experience to build on your theoretical knowledge
  • The support of a graduate buddy and your supervisor

You might even see our operations first-hand through a placement in Karratha or a potential site visit.

This is a paid work experience opportunity with accommodation and return travel provided to applicants residing outside of Perth.

Eligibility

Our Summer Vacation Program is designed for students completing their university studies in Australia.

You are eligible to apply to our Summer Vacation Program if you are:

  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident.
  • An international student currently studying and residing in Australia with unrestricted Australian working rights over the summer vacation period.
  • Studying an Undergraduate, Honours, Post Graduate, Masters or PHD.
  • In your penultimate (second to last) or final year of university.
Indigenous Summer Vacation Program

We encourage applications from students who identify as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to join our Summer Vacation Program.

You can be in any year of study in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Our Indigenous Summer Vacation Program is a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to apply your growing knowledge to our business.

 This program runs full-time for 6-12 weeks and we offer: 

  • Extensive on-the-job training, where we pay you for real, meaningful work. 
  • Early consideration for our Graduate Development Program for those in their penultimate year of study, so you can line up a job before you complete your studies. 
  • Access to a vibrant community of students and recent graduates. You'll have a dedicated current graduate as a go-to support person while you're on the program.
  • Active employee community groups for gender equality, reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, and LGBTI+ staff and allies.

Better Future Pathways

We are looking to create a student talent community for those not yet eligible for our Summer Vacation Program. This program offers meaningful experience for those earlier on in their studies. 

Eligibility 

You are eligible to be considered for our Better Future Pathway if you are: 

  • Currently studying at an Australian university in any year level besides penultimate or final year. 
  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident. 
  • An international student currently studying and residing in Australia with unrestricted Australian working rights. 
  • We are looking for students who have passion for learning and can demonstrate academic ability. 
  • Date will vary depending on the specific opportunity and your availability.

Woodside New Energy
Professional Development Program

We offer the opportunity for Timor-Leste nationals, currently studying at university, to complete summer vacation employment with Woodside in Perth.

Through this Program, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable technical, business and career development skills through vacation employment with a global energy company, founded in Australia. The Program is integrated with the Summer Vacation Program and offers the same benefits including support by a graduate buddy, a technical mentor and inclusion in our dynamic graduate community.

Eligibility

You are eligible for the Professional Development Program if you are:

  • A Timor-Leste national
  • Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at a university
  • Have demonstrated workplace English language competency

Our Graduate Development Program delivers you three years of structured development with carefully designed job rotations and activities that will broaden your career horizons. You'll learn from some of the brightest leaders in our industry. 

As part of the program, our graduates have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of our business through rotations. You will also work on projects and attend training that will build on your soft skills and business acumen. 

We know that getting exposure to our operations is important to you so all graduates will attend a site visit in the first year of the program. 

Our supportive culture 

We help you transition from university to the workplace by providing support from buddies, mentors and leaders. You'll also enjoy the support from our graduate community, including your dedicated graduate buddy who will provide practical, day-to-day advice. 

Eligibility

The Woodside Graduate Development program is open to students in their final year of university or up to two years post-university graduation. 

You are eligible to apply to our Graduate Development Program if you are: 

  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
  • An international student currently studying in Australia
  • Additionally, you will have achieved a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 or above in your most recent studies.
